Creative Cottage contracts with Quick-Cater, LLC (QC) to provide food services. QC is a licensed catering service which adheres to all Texas state health and food safety regulations.
QC is owned and operated by Stacey Wetzel. She and her team work hard to provide the highest quality in food preparation, presentation and service. Afton, an employee of QC, is the "regular chef" for Creative Cottage guests, although from time to time another may fill-in. We are sure you will find the cuisine outstanding and Afton's sweet personality both welcoming and delightful. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding food preparation, please feel free to address Afton directly during your stay. Likewise, if there is an allergy related issue that can easily be addressed, we ask that you notify Creative Cottage prior to your scheduled weekend and again, Afton, or any other on-site chef during your stay. QC can usually accommodate these guests, but in the event of a severe allergy such as gluten intolerance, we ask that these particular guests provide their own meals. CC and QC cannot be held responsible for allergy-related incidences.
In an effort to streamline the mealtime hours and keep our food costs/services down for our guests, we politely ask all our guests to adhere to the following kitchen policies:
Kitchen Hours
Friday
Dinner 7:00-8:00pm
Saturday
Breakfast 9:00 -10:00am
Lunch 12:30 - 1:30pm
Dinner 6:30 - 7:30pm
Sunday
Brunch 10:30am -11:30am
* Complimentary self-service muffins, (located in kitchen)and fruit (craft room fridge) is available)for our early risers before brunch.
Meals will be served at the scheduled times and if any guest should find themselves delayed for whatever reason, we ask they help themselves to the leftover food which will have been wrapped and properly stored.
Complimentary coffee, orange juice, unsweetened tea and water are served with meals. Should you desire any other beverage, such as soda or wine, please bring it with you to the table.
Clean Up
The QC personal chef will be assisting in the kitchen during the posted meal time hours. At the end of the designated time, the food will be wrapped and properly stored by QC. If guests are lingering over their meals, we ask that their dirty dishes be placed in the kitchen sink or on the counter next to it and QC will wash the dishes upon their return before the next scheduled meal. Our guests are not expected to wash the dishes for the meals that are prepared for them as a part of the catering package.
Extended Stay Guests and Hungry Night Owls
For those of you who are staying a day or two early, we ask that the kitchen be left as you found it as a courtesy to our chef before she arrives. This includes washing and putting away the dishes you have used. She will not have time to clean the kitchen before preparing Friday night's meal. Likewise, the same goes for our hungry night owls who find themselves with the “midnight munchies”.
Helping Yourselves
Please feel free to help yourselves to any pots, pans, dishes, food, etc. that are NOT marked with a CATERER USE ONLY sticker on the shelf or cupboard door. Otherwise, you may have used something that was intended for your entire group.
If you bring any medicine, food or snack items with you, please use the craft room fridge to store these items. Cooking for large groups of people leaves little space in the main fridge. Of course, if you have not ordered catering for the wkn’d, please feel free to use the kitchen fridge where the shelving is not labeled for “caterer use only”.
Guest House Occupants
Please do NOT remove any dishes or food items to the guest house!
Bon Appetite!
